Leading Toward Liberation Coaching Book Club
Join the author, Dr. Annmarie Caño, for a 9-month coaching book club to reflect on and apply liberatory leadership practices!
Each book club cohort will be limited to 8 participants to co-create a supportive and courageouscommunity.
What will we do?
We’ll meet on Zoom for 9 monthly 1.5-hour sessions to dive deeper into the book and apply it to your leadership challenges. Each month, we’ll unpack a chapter, try out liberatory leadership skills, and engage in “crowdsourcing” discussion.
What will we learn? Participants will:
Identify the hallmarks of liberatory leadership
Practice liberatory leadership skills within a supportive community of peers
Develop greater courage, confidence, and strength
Cultivate the conditions that foster greater freedom and creativity in self and others
Co-create a community of practice to support one’s liberatory leadership practice
What’s expected of me?
Participants commit to maintaining confidentiality within the group, reading one chapter of the book per month, and engaging in reflection and practice between sessions. Participation will be limited to 6-8 participants to allow for ample time for discussion, community-building, and practice.
Who is this for and what does it cost?
This initial opportunity is for Deans, Vice/Assoc Provosts, Asst/Assoc Vice Presidents, and leaders with similar scopes of responsibility. The cost of the coaching book club is $2,040 per participant. Contact me for a $50 discount code if paying via ACH or check. Please get in touch about coaching book clubs for other leaders (e.g., Faculty/Staff Leaders, Chairs/Directors, Provosts and VPs) and discounts for existing groups who wish to participate together in their own book club.
What credentials does the book club facilitator have?
Annmarie is a highly experienced workshop facilitator and educator. She based her book, Leading Toward Liberation, on her knowledge and experience as a first-gen student and Latina with a 25+year career as a professor and researcher, higher education leader, and licensed clinical psychologist. Because she cares deeply about co-creating healthier working environments, she earned the Associate Certified Coach credential with the International Coaching Federation and serves an executive coach to leaders in higher ed and social impact organizations.
